The Walking Dead 5.08 Coda

The Walking Dead 5.08 Coda
I actually can't believe that ending! Well done for a mid season finale. This first half of season five has offered a lot of action and information for a good season.

Last season, I remembered being bored with the storyline dragging on at the time. Ever since the group got separated after the prison attack, each episode from that point was dedicated to particular groups. I understand the reason was to give more background stories on each character, but it really churned out a slow season.

I feel this season got it's original vibe back. The timelines kept us guessing with how long Beth has been at the hospital, how long the group has been at the church, how long the priest has been keeping his secrets etc.

I had an upsetting gut feeling Beth and Maggie wouldn't get their reunion. If it came down to it, either Carol or Beth would go. Carol has been wanting to leave voluntarily whereas Beth wouldn't get her happy ending.

The way Daryl went in ready to take out Dawn without hesitation – THAT was perfection! It couldn't be Rick to take the kill, but Daryl. He did so much keeping Beth alive and well when they got separated. He also felt responsible for her getting snatched up.

I'm not sure if the final offer at the end was a sincere one. The hospital cops offered plenty of room and resources. Rick trusts no one but his people. Moving his group in with the hospital could have been the game changer. He has baby Judith who needs to be taken care of and a group that can't always keep moving. Then again, Beth got shot before his eyes so all deals are off. Beth shouldn't have shanked Dawn with the scissors; no good came from it.

I wonder what changes happen come February. The preview showed Michonne expressing her feelings. Maybe she wants to take up that hospital offer? Maybe she's sick of moving around the way they do. Also, what will happen with Eugene now that Washington was a sham this whole time? So many resources and time has been wasted so he could stay alive. It's survival of the fittest at the end of the day, and he was trying his best to survive with the aide of good Samaritans.

Watching Emily Kinney in tonight's Talking Dead episode is so sad. I am a big sop so yes I am crying. She really is attached the character and worked with the cast for 5 seasons long. She really does care about the show as much as the audience; Chris Hardwick couldn't have said it any better.

Whatever the writers choose to do February 2015, I am ready come episode 5.09 :D

OneRepublic's Native Tour (with American Authors and The Script) at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre

Unbelievable! That’s the one word I can use to describe this weekend’s Native Summer tour. Seeing all my favourite bands (sans Royal Teeth) was a great kick off to the new summer season!

The show opened up with American Authors playing seven tracks from their Oh, What a Life album, and I’m so glad to see their progression as a band since they first performed in Toronto at the Drake. The guys were on point with their set and had a lot of fun with the crowd. Part way through, Zac had one of the crew say in his earpiece that the US just scored a goal against Portugal LOL He kept having to justify to us Canadians that Americans actually do care about the world cup =P It was a good laugh, plus I got an update on the game without using my cellular data.
set list:
Think About It
Luck
Believer
Home
Trouble
Hit It
Best Day of my Life

The Script, who are my favourite mainstream band, came on stage after and it was like reliving their concert two October’s ago for their Science and Faith tour when they released their #3 album. They performed nine of their famous singles and at one point, Danny called a fan’s ex-boyfriend during ‘Nothing’ (that’s what they do at all their shows). He saw the guy’s name on the phone and yelled, “His name is PATRICK?! Oh he’s definitely Irish! What did he do to screw up? LET’S FIND OUT!” Danny also ran all the way to the back to sing ‘You Won’t Feel a Thing’ to the audience in the lawn area.
set list:
Good Ol’ Days
Before the Worst
Breakeven
We Cry
The Man Who Can’t Be Moved
Nothing
For The First Time
You Won’t Feel a Thing
Hall Of Fame

OneRepublic definitely know how to put a show together. This is why I get excited when they come to Toronto!  Back in June 2008, they first came to the city and that happened to be my first time saving up for my first concert ever. I remember the tickets being $30 and going with a group of good friends. This time, I went with a smaller group of friends and met up with my friend Michelle, who I ALWAYS see at all the big concerts I attend. We decided we need better communication and just attend together from now on. OneRepublic really changed their sound through the years but always remained consistent. I love that about them (just like Coldplay) and they experiment well with different sounds/instruments. Their set was a combination of all their albums (of course) but the mixture was excellent since they knew when to slow down their songs, mix up their instruments and make songs acoustic. Their final song during the encore couldn’t be more perfect.

My favourite single off their Native album was always ‘If I Lose Myself’ but I remember it never got enough radio play when it was released (not like ‘Counting Stars’ does). At the time, I caught it twice on the Toronto radio stations and never heard it again. I remember Aloe Black and Avicii released ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’ and Swedish House Mafia announced their One Last Tour around the same timeframe that summer.

OneRepublic’s track was overshadowed by this tour and I think nobody knew about their new album as well as I did in the city. The familiarity between the genre would overlap well, but I guess SHM knew what they were doing with advertising themselves as best they could to sell out their tour. Anyway, their final song ‘If I Lose Myself’ was insane! I can’t explain properly how well they did it, but they changed it up by adding dance beats from the Alesso mix and added percussions to it! This was a fantastic blend, especially since American Authors always use their snare drum up front in their shows. Again, it was remarkable and I can’t even explain how wonderful this experience was. I can’t wait until the next time they come back to Toronto. Hopefully I’m not waiting another eight years to see them in Toronto once again!
setlist:
Light It Up
Secrets
All The Right Moves
What You Wanted
Stop And Stare
Something I Need
Apologize
Rude (Magic cover)
Preacher
Come Home
Counting Stars
Can’t Stop
Au Revoir
Feel Again

Once Upon a Time 3.21, 3.22

Once Upon a Time 3.21 Snow Drifts // 3.22 There's No Place Like Home
AT LONG LAST! A proper two hour season finale that does a show rightful justice. From start to finish, this was a flawless finale. It covered all basics and even went back to the reasons why we first started watching the series to begin with. Re-telling Snow and Charming's love story was one of the many firsts connecting all characters of the Enchanted Forest.

Emma has finally reconnected herself into who she's meant to be. Killian was the one who lead the way for her to see truth! He chased after her when she contemplated her move back to New York. He also went after her when she got too close to the barn. He's not going to abandon her anyway. He even ensured her survival while he did a sword fight against the castle guards. His love for her is almost as intense as, dare I say X-Men's Wolverine for Jean Grey.

I didn't expect Marian to be the secret character! Makes sense for it to be her, but I was open to a new enemy. She believed in Snow's innocence so having it be a fellow lady in the woods like Red is also a plus. I don't think she will be a threat in the upcoming season since her main concern would be for the son. Robin will probably love Regina still and work things out with his family. I also believe Regina can work light magic again. She knows how to love again and making her the villain is old.

Rumpelstilskin will be the neutral villain in the background, but his marriage to Belle should overpower his need to control with the dagger. When he has urges, I am sure Belle will bring him back to his human self. Aside from that, I think Zelena used up enough of her screen time. She had to go and I am glad Rumpel was the one who did it.

I'm excited for Elsa to come to the show. Since the vault contained unstable and misunderstood magic, it will probably involve Anna being able to calm her. I wonder who will be cast as the character since Idina Menzel's famous characters are getting some spotlight time!

I'm so impressed with that wonderful ending where Killian could finally prove he was a hero! There was so much consistency with his character and his love for Emma all along. The whole time from the start of the season (even prior to this season), his goal was to bring Emma back and help her believe everyone in Storybrooke needed her. He did all that. Not Henry or anybody else; Killian did it all! Now we know he sold the Jolly Roger all for her. REAL FAIRY TALE LOVE!

I'm glad this series has made it through to fourth season. I can't wait to see what the producers have next =D

Reign 1.20 Higher Ground

Reign 1.20 Higher Ground
This show keeps changing! Glad Leith is coming back in the picture. Francis looks like he is  saving him the whole way and will allow him to marry Greer. That was a pretty bad fight those five guys went through. A bit unrealistic but Francis was able succeed on his own terms. Crazy King Henry better stop with his difficult behaviour because I have a feeling he may be the reason why Francis dies early. I also wonder if that will happen before second season.

Mary has lost it, but I dont blame her. She's been put through the wringer and dragged through the mud with everything thats happened to her in France. Now that shes capable of killing and hiring an undercover assassin, she's going to be ruthless here on out. Catherine still has her suspicions (she has every right to), so this will play out to be really interesting.

There's more with Bash and Kenna nowadays, but Lola and the mysterious husband is grabbing more attention. He finally confessed that he has no money to his name but is manning up at last. I think the birth of the baby can bring them closer,  just as long as he never finds out it's an heir to France.

I see more politics and bloodshed in the show, as opposed to love as the chief decision maker. Everything needs to be played smart, not with the heart. Its all politics and survival of the fittest. Really hope it stays that way since the "dark magic" story line is getting old.

The Following 2.15 Forgive

That was an action packed start to a finale! I didn't think Joe would shoot Preston dead! Then again since his dad died for him, he wouldn't have had use for the rest of the episode. Pretty stoked Emma is officially out of the picture. I think she is too much and really needed to go before third season came around.

I actually predicted this kind of finale. I thought Joe and Ryan would have to team up for a common purpose. Before Claire showed up midseason, I thought it would be to take out the twins and Lily.

The change in their behaviour once they show up to rescue Claire. I personally thought it was a voice recording in the hidden room. I noticed the twins took out their anger on Ryan more than Joe because of their soft spot for Claire (Joe is better with words and manipulation, Ryan is the hero).

I'm glad they took out evil twin Luke. Mark is a whack job in his own way but at least he is tamed. I wonder who the mystery person in the driver seat is. It's definitely someone blending in with society. I hope season three lives up to all of the action that has happened.

I also wonder if they will keep Max and Mike together and Ryan with the newscaster.

This finale was fantastic!

Reign 1.18 No Exit

Reign 1.18 No Exit
I'm actually glad Francis turned everything around and stood up for himself. I know last weeks episode I was thrilled Mary did the same for herself and Scotland, but this time Francis was the one who took control to protect Mary.

I think James is the one who hired the third party Englishmen to order the assassination on Mary at sea. If he would want to be king of Scotland, he would be ruthless. He's also a half brother too so he would feel threatened by Mary controlling three countries.

Kenna and Bash look like they're finally getting along. I think their story will grow into something better. As for Lola, I think she got herself in a bad marriage. The guy probably has no inheritance even though everyone hears he comes from wealth. I wonder if Francis will ever find out about the baby. That will be a plot twist but Francis may die before he knows about it.

I'm glad Nostradamus is staying behind in French court. He needs to be around for the sake of his sanity (and Catherine's). King Henry better get back to normal and explain these visions. I think it was a younger brother or friend of his that passed on. I thought it could be young Henry but I don't know why a younger version of himself could be tormenting (especially when you're king).

The Following 2.13, Bates Motel 2.07

The Following 2.13 The Reaping
Is it strange my sister and I were cheering for Mike to shoot Lily? We knew Ryan wouldn't hold it against him for his anger, but now he may turn him in to the FBI and say it wasn't self defense. Mike has been aching on the inside since his father, so I hope he doesn't get thrown off the case =(

Now that the cult has been destroyed, Ryan should find clues to get closer to Joe. Not sure what the end game will be though because you either put him in jail or do the same thing Mike did =/ I also think Claire is going to get herself killed again now that Joe knows she's alive. She thinks the secret message will throw him off his game (which it has for now) but I see agitation and aggression coming out of this. Yes it will lure him out of hiding but it endangers everyone.

Two episodes left in this season?! I can't handle this!

Bates Motel 2.07 Presumed Innocent
Norman's alter ego is getting stronger. He's speaking up more against Norma, but she is smothering him way to much. If she keeps it up, Norman may burst out and permanently be stuck in the "black out" part of himself.

Alex Romero is strangely attracted to Norma and is probably going to stop her from seeing George Heldens (Michael Vartan). There was male rivalry in the eye contact at the police station so I think this is going to be a new story unfolding. I also think George isn't an entirely good guy. He probably has skeletons in his closet.

I'm sad to see Cody go! I feel she was the only other good person, besides Emma, in Norman's life. Dylan already walked out because of the seriousness of his parentage and hatred for Norma. Miss Watson the likeable teacher mysteriously died in an unsolved murder, leaving Norman confused. Norman really only had Cody left to rely on without question. It's evil of Norma to twist everything and claim Cody is the problem to try and cover up her own tracks.

Now we know Norman slept with Blair *jaw dropping news* This is going to change everything from how easy Romero has been with the Bates family this season to the gossiping town reaction.

Oh and I have a random scene spotting; front desk girl in the police station plays Holly from Rookie Blue! I miss my Toronto cop show so much that I am noticing the characters everywhere.

Once Upon a Time 3.17 The Jolly Roger

Once Upon a Time 3.17 The Jolly Roger
Yes a Captain Hook episode!

Killian is living a double life, and he really turned into a hero this time around. I remember he was changing from the traditional villain last season when they were in Neverland. When it comes down to it, he does everything and all he can because of his love for Emma. He's also the character everybody has come to love. Not a fan of the curse he was slapped with. Now we watch his heart break some more. I have a feeling there will be a different curse that will test him. Kind of like Zelena placing a sleeping curse on Emma like sleeping beauty. The only person that can awaken her is true love's kiss, which would be Henry or Killian. If Killian does it, it takes away her magic. On the up side, at lease Killian is witty enough to outsmart Zelena and not believe her off the bat.

Haha the grandparents found out Henry thinks they're boring and take him joy riding. But really when it comes down to it, Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin are way too cute. They got married this weekend (random news, I know) and they're making this show even better with their character chemistry.

Zelena is so evil but adds a lot to the story. I wonder if anybody else will learn she is Regina's half sister in the episodes to come. I hope so, just so it doesn't linger anymore.

Reign 1.17 Liege Lord

Reign 1.17 Liege Lord
So King Henry is still batshit crazy and nobody knows why. Nostradamus would traditionally come in around this time but he doesn't look like he would unless Catherine asked.

Lola's storyline is getting complicated, but I think her new suitor may not want children because he may be gay. The good news is he is willing to marry her to cover up her pregnancy. I hope he doesn't turn on her later on in the story.

I don't know how I feel about the new marriage between Bash and Kenna. Kenna will learn to respect Bash but she looks like she may fall for him in the end. I don't know what Bash will do in the castle without driving insane. He knows he's practically in Mary's pocket, but Francis could have something to do with it when it comes down to how often he notices their paths crossing.

I'm glad Mary is finally taking control of everything no matter what the cost. She knows she's expendable while she is in France, but she is looking out for her own country at last! Francis looked taken aback finding out she was ready to use anything, even their kingdom in France, to save her people.

Texas bound!

Going on another girlfriends trip, but this one will be for five days!

My friend and I need a break (her more than me considering I did Las Vegas in mid February), and so we're headed to Texas. She got tickets to see this British band called The xx, and they'll be playing their last show in West Texas. They've been doing a string of underground shows across the states so this should be interesting.

I also have family in Texas, so I'm seeing my cousins in Austin for the first half of my trip! I shall let you all know how it goes and hopefully my pictures will connect with my laptop this time around.

I won't be around next week to review the Being Human series finale (yes, this is ALL I genuinely think about) or the Game of Thrones season premiere. I will be excited to catch it though once i return next Wednesday.

Bates Motel 2.05 The Escape Artist

Bates Motel 2.05 The Escape Artist
Cody is a really good friend. I can't believe she stayed behind to make sure Norman was well. They're both lucky in a sense Cody found him and made sure to wait long enough for him to wake up from his blackout. Cody is lucky Norman didn't turn on her, which would have been a slip up. Norman tried to kill Dylan a couple episodes back, and Dylan watches over him the best.

Aww Emma has a pot dealing boyfriend! It was going to happen with Gunner since Norman is unstable. I don't know what's with the rebellion but I did want to see a bigger Emma story come to surface!

Not sure if Romero will also get a bigger story line (not liking Nick or his marijuana business, staying close to Norma at the motel etc.) but he should get more screen time. I want to know his back story.

Dylan, tell me WHY do you think you are invincible?! Luckily, he made it to the hospital after that display of heroism and stupidity. Who stands in front of a charging car shooting bullets straight at two armed men? I'm surprised since that would probably be something he'd do for Remo. I wonder if cutting out Remo will put a distance between the two in the business. Now Dylan is in a good word with the actual boss!

Being Human 4.12, The Following 2.11

Being Human 4.12 House Hunting
I'm scared for the series finale next week!! I appreciate how this episode tied in with how the BBC UK version of Being Human ended up with their final season. They had Satan following the around and putting them in alternate realities. They all knew it was fake and could live off peacefully as humanly possible. The downfall was, they knew it wasn't "home" without each other. In tonight's episode, they all got one-on-one spotlights with people from their past. They were quick because they had to fit in Nora and Josh's sister, but still all had the same concept. Romona wanted them all to end their lives to be trapped in the house permanently.

Kenny storming back into the house to kill Aidan was such a powerful scene. It takes me back to when Aidan had Bishop haunting him earlier in the series. Bishop warns Aidan along the lines of, "He will kill you, the son always kills his father," with regards to how Aidan killed Bishop. BUT, there is an exception to this rule since Aidan has outlived three of his sons (little Isaac, Henry and Kenny). He broke the cycle and is the survivor going against the son kills father theory.

From the start, Romona was BATSHIT! She wanted to keep them all to herself so she wouldn't be alone. Her soul is distraught and unwell because of her death circumstances. Still though, she killed her sister Beatrice! She was also able to manipulate Kenny's final words to Aidan (still can't believe that ending). Aidan now thinks Sally is dead and can't see her in the background by the staircase. I also don't think Aidan kills Josh in that final scene. I think Josh's wolf comes out and stops him. SO MANY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS!

The Following 2.11 Freedom
Ryan Hardy can't catch a break. I was wondering where his niece was the entire time (I miss her already).

A hospital break in is pretty intense, these people are insane. I think they're worst than the Corbin cult because these folks are ready to die on the spot.

Looks like Lily is trying to be a real baddy and take attention away from Joe with staging her own followers. They act out like this and succeeded. I'm surprised, I thought their plan would fall through to get Luke out of the hospital. Now that Luke escaped to join his twin brother and deranged mother, they'll probably set up next week's episode well.

I didn't think they'd reintroduce Claire to Ryan so soon. The look on his face is so distraught. He's finally moved on and is trying at a better life while still doing his job. At last, he quit putting his personal life on hold and moved forward. Mike looks so apologetic once he saw the special agents at the door. I don't think Ryan would take it out on him, it was for protection this whole time. It explains why Mike was hurting when he saw Ryan drinking himself into oblivion months after Claire's "death".

I didn't think Mandy would run away. She was pulling away slowly once Joe and Emma were trying to recruit the cult and kill for no reason. She started to think for herself and I guess she wanted that welcomed, family feeling and thought of Lily. Bad move in my opinion. Emma will probably hunt her down once she knows where she is. Evidently, Emma is more violent then Joe; Joe just orchestrates and gets blood on everybody else.

Reign 1.15 The Darkness

Reign 1.15 The Darkness
This was kind of a boring episode. It was about Bash and the woodland family he's currently shacking up with. Oh, also Mary getting angry at herself and Lola.

Is Lola really going to have the baby? I don't think this actually happened, but I guess they're trying to make good television. At least Francis fessed up to Mary about sleeping with Lola in Paris. But what he doesn't know is Mary already knows *le sigh* so complicated!

Kenna is getting sold out into more sexual favours for the king. She's taken aback but how did she think the deal was going to be? It was only going to escalate once he knew he had a job to find her a suitor. I'm glad Catherine is trying to help her out and protect her as much as possible. She has a good side to her now that Francis is going to be king. That was her one goal, but now she can focus on doing well for Kenna rather than just for her own interest.

I'm going to miss Leith around the castle with Greer. I was hoping Greer would go with the duke to be near him, but since her parents set her up with somebody, her life is pretty much set. Wow, 16th century France sucks when it's all about dowries and owning land. Women get the shorter end of the stick, without question!

Bates Motel 2.03 Caleb

Bates Motel 2.03 Caleb
Bradley's "suicide" is in the local paper and Emma feels guilty for not liking her. I want to see more Emma in this show. I like her so much and she keeps getting shafted with no storyline! All she does is work part time at the motel front desk and admire Norman from afar. There's more to her than her doe eyed schoolgirl crush and health condition.

Looks like Norma didn't get the part in the community theater, but that doesn't stop the casting director from befriending her. Not sure if this will be a new friend but throwing in Michael Vartan in the show makes everything ten times better =D

Norman has made new friends with the girl doing sets in the theater, but I'm not sure what her background story will be about. Whether or not he gets a new friend is a puzzle, but we all know Norman can't control his blackouts.

I don't like this "I'm Norma's brother," thrown in the mix. It stirs everything up to with this extra family drama. It makes sense why Dylan wants to keep the family together, but now having the bomb dropped on him that he is basically a product of incest/rape, that's huge. Did anybody notice how whack Norman went?! That was blackout mode where he didn't control his double personality. It's getting stronger and he almost killed Dylan in the middle of the kitchen! CONTROL THE BEAST, NORMAN!

Being Human 4.10, The Following 2.09

Being Human 4.10 Oh Don't You Die for Me
Josh needs to tread lightly. I do not trust this pack, and they're totally going to turn on him. He needs Nora back in his life. He made a mistake last time, but I think Nora is his balance. She can be his balance, but I don't think she should be the reason to "fix him". She chased him in the woods for three months with Aidan trying to tame his wolf. First he's a reversed wolf, now he's a wolf on cue. It's dangerous and he probably wants out more than ever.

I can't believe Sally body jumped for Aidan! Now that she is dying out on the couch, Aidan admits he will do anything for her. It's a good thing Nora told him about Sally travelling to the past and being happy with Aidan in their alternate reality. Now he will surely do whatever it takes to save her! Oh yes and Aidan also killed Suzanna for Kenny; this can work!

I am really going to miss this show when it's over. It's a shame it didn't get picked up for another season.

The Following 2.09 Unmasked
Joe is alive and the whole world knows. Claire is alive and only Mike and witness protection knows. I know nothing, I did not see that coming!

First with Joe and his minions. He accomplished to kill the crazy cult couple leaders at last. I was sick of them, but looks like Joe stole the followers to create a new band of people to manipulate.

I can't believe how crazy Jana is. Agent Mendez had a basket case on her hands. She should have stayed 3 steps ahead though once Ryan falsely accused her of being the FBI mole. As soon as she saw Jana having a bit of an episode in the garage, she was too late. Ryan and Mike are quick on their feet. They're getting a lot closer to Joe, but seem to be falling behind when Jana was in the mix. Now they can finally get somewhere without her around.

Okay so Claire is alive and where has she been all season?! Is she separated from Joey? Does keeping them apart keep them safe? The world thinks Claire is dead, and Ryan is going to flip out once he knows. I have a feeling this is Mike's first time finding out. That ending didn't seem like he knew what was going on (they put a bag on his head so he wouldn't know where they were driving to), only that he was under orders on where to go. At least Mike is somebody Ryan can trust. I wonder what Claire has to say now.

Such a good show, I love Kevin Bacon!

Reign 1.13 The Consummation

The Reign 1.13 The Consummation
Looks like Mary's mother came to play the game of politics. She showed up to stake her agreement with France to cover Scotland and more importantly, her life. She's similar to Catherine in so many ways. They'll both do anything for their kids, and will be cut throat to get what they want (not necessarily including Francis or Mary's happiness).

I was surprised when Sebastian said he would meet Mary outside the palace grounds so they could get married. I thought it would really happen, or at least Mary would have stayed at the kingdom while he was waiting in the cold (totally dramatic idea of course). Also really didn't think the wedding would happen so quick, let alone to Francis. The story is finally back on track with following the real history of Francis and Mary Queen of Scots.

My other theory on Sebastian fleeing the palace grounds is that he needs to return. When this happens maybe he brings his mom along as well. If he shows back up in the middle of all the drama, Mary will definitely fall back to him. It's going to be the same cycle until Mary flees to England for shelter.

Also, Francis and Lola's meet up from last week is going to resurface again, I'm sure. Not sure if that will damage the relationship, but Mary already looks like she had doubts when she found herself caught in the middle of Bash and Francis. I am liking the turn of events in this season, just hope it remains exciting.

Bates Motel 2.01 Gone But Not Forgotten

Bates Motel 2.01 Gone But Not Forgotten
Quite the returning premiere! I'm impressed with everything that happened in tonight's episode. I may actually believe Norman never killed Miss Watson to begin with. I actually have doubts he may not have done it, which is funny considering he is kind of schizophrenic and blacks out through certain situations.

That whole suicide attempt Bradley did was a desperate cry for help. She's angry the dad had an affair, but she must be angrier it was possibly the cause of his death and not the drug business. She's making herself too available to Dylan and Norman, It's not fair to Norman, but at least Dylan knows the boundaries and won't try anything considering his brother's feelings.

Dylan really is the good son. He has the bad boy image, but he sticks around for the sake of Norman. He is trying his best to be a good brother but it's tough when he is involved with the marijuana business. His heart is in the right place and stays out of selflessness. I hope he gets more on screen time.

I demand more Emma!! I think she will play a bigger part since Norman is stuffing more animals and probably will work with Emma's dad more often. In addition to his morbid hobbies, visiting the cemetery isn't a good idea. Now there's a mystery man standing above her headstone. I think he has to be her father.

Sheriff Romero knows a lot of the underground mishaps in the town and remains mysterious through everything. Is he really the good sheriff of the town or does he cover up kind of like the crooked cops of the town? I remember he covered up things in season one but it was all for the greater good. I want to believe he's the good one in this TV show other than Emma. If Bradley doesn't clean up her mess at the end of the show, Sheriff Romero will find it. Norman may help her the best he can but I have a feeling Dylan will find out and put it together it must be Bradley.

I just finished watching the first Bates Motel: After Hours. I don't know if it will be as promising as Chris Hardwick's Talking Dead or Talking Bad but it needs better organization with the questions. It's already airing late at night, so not many people stay up late on a Monday night to hash tag and post questions they want to know about the show. I'm happy they tried their best with interviewing the three main characters (Freddie was in England, poor guy). I hope Olivia Cooke and Nicola Peltz (Emma and Bradley), or even Sheriff Romero get to come on the show to discuss the future of the show. I'd really want to hear their point of views on the show's direction with the new characters. I'm looking forward to Michael Vartan's guest appearance on the show!

The Following 2.07 Sacrifice

The Following 2.07 Sacrifice
Kevin Bacon is the man! The good news is he's cooperating with the FBI to find out who the leak is. Bad news is he is speaking to the wrong people. When it comes down to it, he can only trust Mike and Max. Every time he puts his faith in someone new, it turns sour. I cant believe Max got kidnapped though! The little boy is insane. Hate him for using ugly words to describe women. Thank goodness Mike and Ryan tied his hands behind his back and got the location out of him. If Max was going to die at the hands of "the huntsman" in this episode, I would've stopped watching. Hence, this is why Kevin Bacon is the man!

Looks like Joe found a group of crazy people just as crazy as his followers. The only difference is these people wear matching robes in the woods. I'm not feeling it, and they're all controlling. This cult is going to give me nightmares tonight.

That ending scene with Mike experiencing pain in front of the entire FBI was too much to handle. Shawn Ashmore has always been a versatile actor, and one of my favourite Canadian actors. I don't think I've seen him so vulnerable before. He played it so well. He's going to want revenge for his father's death, and this will mess him up. Mike admitted to Ryan that he has a problem and he needs to leave and go home. When he came back because he found out Ryan's niece Max was taken, that showed what a good cop and great friend he really is. The moment he noticed his parent's living room was the time we knew he lost everything. On the building steps crying into Ryan's lap, everything's changed. Neither of them are going to be the same after this.

Being Human 4.08 Rewind, Rewind...

Being Human 4.08 Rewind, Rewind...
I'M SO SAD THIS SHOW GOT THE BOOT!!

It's the worst feeling when the television shows you watch get the axe. I put a lot of interest into this show and absolutely love the characters in it.

This was an excellent episode showing Sally redoing scenarios from the past. Of course just like everything else, changing fate has consequences. I like how they showed what it's like for her to have a relationship with Aidan. Portraying this possibility is what actually happens in the UK version. Another change was Sally saving Nora, and instead getting scratched by Josh. No matter what, Josh was meant to scratch someone with his wolf curse that night. It was unavoidable, but another reason why changing the past has it's consequences.

In the end, Sally gets hurt and bleeds on the concrete from her bashed head. Aidan looks like he's really in love with Sally, but has his vampire urges giving way from his humanity. I don't know if Sally's ghost self can get out of this realm, but it makes me wonder what is really happening in present day.

If so much time has passed (nearly a year considering the timeline is going in 3 to 6 months forward), how is everything with present day Aidan, Josh and Nora without Sally around? She really makes a difference in everything, but with the wolf pack, Aidan touching base with Kenny and the witchcraft, who knows how much has changed without Sally.

Looking forward to next Monday. Even though this show is ending, I will see it to the end!

Being Human 4.06 Cheater of the Pack

Being Human 4.06 Cheater of the Pack
Poor Josh. He feels guilty for cheating but it's not his fault with his wolf side taking over. It's not much of an excuse, but he's the nice one who will always be so hard on himself.

Mark the wolf pack leader is CRAZY. I don't understand why his temper is that of a real wolf, but he doesn't know anything. Nora found out in the worst way possible way; through somebody else. She fears Josh now because he can't control his inner wolf anymore. He's lying to himself on whether or not he is in control most of the time. On the other hand, his human is aching on the inside trying to conform back to normality.

I can't believe Aidan is trying to cleanse himself. I admire him for trying to follow through, but Suzanna isn't the best person to help. She's part of his past and knows his weakness. Some may think this is a good idea but the will be the downfall of each other. I'm happy Suzanna told the truth about Isaac. If she carried out her lie that Isaac died healthy and of old age, that would make her a hypocrite for not addressing her mistakes.

I didn't think Robbie would die! It was annoying for him to get back to Who controlled the water to electrocute him? I think it was Sally but she was off in the other time periods. Maybe it was the little girl from the 70's who did it? I'm confused, can't wait until next weekend though!

The Walking Dead 4.10 Inmates

The Walking Dead 4.10 Inmates
Good news is we know everybody actually survived.
Now the bad news is this episode was pretty boring. Even with that ending, I don't care much for new characters coming in thew show.

Carol coming back was my favourite part! How she found Tyreese and those the girls, I will never know. She obviously knows Tyreese doesn't know about her killing Sasha. Then again, all of them are struggling and at the end of their patience to survive. Carol saved him just in time.

The rest of the episode was bland for me. Just another informative, filler episode this season.

Being Human 4.05 Pack It Up, Pack It In

Being Human 4.05 Pack It Up, Pack It In
I was expecting this reaction from Kat. She'd absorb it as a joke and soon have a freak out after he explains to her how serious he really is. Aidan really tried though! He wanted to make this relationship work, unlike how the other one fell apart. He really fought for Kat this time around because she was Nora's friend. Nora didn't like the first idea of the both of them, but suddenly warmed up to the idea as soon as Aidan proved he was in it for the long run.

I'm with Josh, do not trust this Mark character. He is totally overruling Josh with this alpha male demeanor, I wonder if he is the "leader" of their pack of wolves. Obviously he is judging vampires as a whole, but to be a jerk in Josh's house had nothing to do with him realizing a vampire lived under the same roof.

I couldn't stop laughing at Aidan and Kenny walking in and making their dance party entrance. Just the right amount of comic relief needed!

Sally looks like she can't control her powers anymore. I think she won't get stuck in a time period, but more on a plane parallel to present time. Kind of like how she started out at the start of the season, but an alternative reality. I wonder how much longer this will happen to her, it looks like she keeps slipping up.

I didn't think Josh and Nora would join the pack, but I guess it will give them a sense of belonging with their own werewolf species. Eventually, I think it will turn into the same situation as previous seasons where Josh and Nora see that it doesn't work. Josh can also control his wolf now, so it's different this time around. I just wonder what this change will bring.

The Walking Dead 4.09 After

The Walking Dead 4.09 After
Not going to lie, forgot half the stuff that happened at the end. As for the parts I did remember, it's all a matter of who survived with who and where they are now.

Headless Hershel was graphic, but reality. Losing a key member of the group happens, and Michonne is back to her way of surviving with camouflagr before she was introduced in the series.

Carl has grown up so much. Not just the actor, but his character. Learning to live and grow up in a zombie apocalyptic world. He's not living a life worth anything but he's taught to fight and survive.

Rick is breathing weirdly and it sounds like his diaphragm punctured. I'm so confused. This happens when there's a long hiatus in the middle of a show.

I was hoping there would be more of Michonne's past life but I am glad she reunited with Rick and Carl =D

I also can't believe chocolate pudding comes in a giant can in the States =O

Reign 1.11 Inquisition

Reign 1.11 Inquisition
Looks like Francis has fled the palace grounds, possibly even France haha he must have refuge in a cabin somewhere. His absence has no significance to the latest in coming after Bash. I kind of think as a desperate plea to win Mary back, he might sick an assassin on Bash himself OR in a twist kill him at his own hand. (These are random thoughts of mine I need to get out of the way).

I am pleased they brought Nostradamus back (I thought he was done for with that stabbing) along with that excellent backstory. You could tell Clarissa had to be Catherine's abandoned daughter with the way Catherine kept finishing Nostradamus' sentences as he told her the story of why she lives in the castle.

Mary looks like she's going out of her way for the baby. It's nice, shows common ground between her and Bash. On the one hand, a lot of Bash's past may be used against him to keep him from the throne. Bash could care less and I like he's honest about his feelings when it comes down to it.

Mary should really think about who is guarding her bed chambers properly. Catherine barged in there like it was nothing. Guards, Mary almost died and you couldn't break down the door :/ confidence in the French guards doesn't sit well with me.

I wish the station would air a preview of next week's episode! By the looks of the title "Royal Blood", I'm intrigued who they'll be talking about.

Reign 1.10 Sacrifice

Reign 1.10 Sacrifice
Liking the consistency following last week's episode. I see Bash sticks to his word how he never wanted Francis' place on the throne or in the bloodline. Poor guy is trying his best to stay alive but it looks like everybody loyal to Catherine is out to get him. At first I didn't want to believe Catherine was behind the death plots once again and that the twist could be Francis was the one trying o kill Bash as any good tragedy would turn out. But of course, it was the mother with a poison dagger as the weapon of choice.

Mary shows her leadership in the kingdom very well, especially in the scene she stands her ground against Catherine. After that point, I hope she sticks to her gut when it comes down to actually ruling with Bash.

Bash has a half sister! I expected it would be a sister because of how protective she was when the guard forced her to speak in front of the court. If she was a girl Bash got pregnant (which you could see was Mary and Lola's first thought by their facial reactions), she would have shown up earlier in the season. Even if it were for blackmail or trying to get some sort of deal with his of his position in the court; she didn't look like a girl he kept as a secret love affair. It's nice to see Bash looks out for her even with the distance forced between them. The circumstances of giving birth in the woods looked tough. She had nobody but Bash, Mary and the trusty Pagan guard. I expected Mary to be the one delivering the baby since she stayed in the convent haha. Bash had to see another one of his family die, when will it end?!

Mary really freaked out at the Pagan prayer there! Of course she's used to Catholic practices, but she needed to pull it together. Poor horse used as a sacrifice. Bash gave her his word and he doesn't have anything to hide from Mary. He tells her everything upfront if there's anything within question; this is another difference between how Francis and Mary functioned.

Bash evidently treats Mary equally with no ulterior motive (of course, it was never his idea to ascend the throne and change the bloodline). He doesn't have any interest in prioritizing the country or French court above Mary. I'm very interested to see how far this season will go with this new direction in the story line. I'm sure if the writers and producers want to stick to some historical accuracy, they'll bring Mary back to Francis somehow.

The Following 2.02 For Joe

The Following 2.02 For Joe
Joe Carroll is alive, bearded and hiding in the woods. I have no idea why the group hasn't found him yet, but it could be because he's in a trailer with his sister and another young girl (possible daughter or teen taken under their wing).

I don't know why this rebel group is leaving a trail of bodies all over the city for Ryan but they're out of control. It's growing into a problem for the police, which makes me think about Ryan's niece. Her life is in danger if Joe's followers are "watching" Ryan everywhere. Ryan needs to open up and stop running his own investigation. It's only hurting himself. I also think the followers have a strategy to separate Ryan from the police. The more they manipulate him, the more they can control the situation. He needs to stop alienating himself to "cope". I trust Mike, go to him!!

May I add how I admire this show starting out with Poe? I hope eventually it will end with him and not Joe winning =/

Reign 1.09 For King and Country

Reign 1.09 For King and Country
That was a quick return to the palace grounds. The chase didn't last very long, but it looks as if Francis was determined to have both Mary and Bash found at all costs.

This became such a tangled web. I didn't know Mary would suggest legitimizing Bash in order to save Francis. Clearly Francis isn't pleased with the turn of events, but I do think this will come back at her.

Bash wasn't happy with the news, especially with spending most of the episode down in the dungeons. If his mother Diane returns, I wonder if Bash will have a safety net behind him. With Diane on the run, Bash looks completely alone. Mary is the only other person who is somewhat cheering for him, but it's complicated since it's all Mary juggling different ideas to rule.

Clarissa stabbed Nostradamus!! This is intense, does this mean Clarissa escaped in the castle walls? I know she's getting punished for killing Aylee, but she can't get far without Nostradamus bleeding on the floor =/

I also didn't see Francis and his younger brothers getting stripped of everything entitled to their name. I thought he would stick around, similar to how Bash always got the perks of remaining on the castle grounds. He sounded really bitter telling Mary long may she reign. If the producers want to stay true to the historical aspect of this family line, they'll eventually pair Mary up with Francis in the end.

It was a great comeback episode, but I think Catherine won't rest until she kills somebody else. She wasn't expecting Mary to take away the inheritance, but wasn't her only condition was to keep Mary away from Francis? Here it is and here are the consequences. I can't wait for the next episode!!

The Tomorrow People 1.11 Rumble

The Tomorrow People 1.11 Rumble
Not particularly over the moon revisiting Cara's past. I see she met a couple, one who showed her mercy and the other none. I appreciate that helped shape her to a better person but it also showed her how extremes of using your powers for good or bad. Cara's a struggling leader trying her best to earn the respect and confidence from the group. I commend her for not passing the torch back to John, but I think he has a better presence as the group leader.

I am bored of Stephen and Astrid's forbidden love. She's supposed to be part of his normal life, but she knows his secret and it throws off the element of surprise. I'm glad Alexa Vega (Spy Kids, Sleepover) got a part in this show! She's going to change thing sup and I can't wait for her to take down Stephen some more in the combat sessions.

Where did the mom's boyfriend go? He was a big part of the ending in the last episode but totally disappeared in this one. I wonder if he conspires with Julian on the down low. Not sure if he's a double spy working for Ultra with his own motives on the side.

The Following 2.01 Resurrection

The Following 2.01 The Resurrection
I can't stand the replaying of Claire and Ryan getting stabbed. It's so vivid! Thank goodness Ryan got back up to take her out!

Making it a one year later time frame is a bit much, but at least it shows a lot of development between the time frame. Seeing that so much has happened, there's a lot of conflict between characters and even new ones introduced. Ryan is in alcoholics anonymous and his niece Max (Jessica Stroup) came from the revamped 90210 haha. This is a lot to absorb at once, but I see Mike and Ryan had a falling out for months now. Poor Mike is left in the shadow but he tried his best to reach out to him.

Sam Underwood is in this?! I remember him from Dexter and Homeland. I like how they cloned him and made him a dominant leader in this. Anyway, he's done well showcasing wide ranges of emotion playing these two brothers. I'm thinking he started a different group of followers, but it looks very underground. They actually kill at will, but not under Joe's instructions. Emma looks like she's living a totally different life. She's changed and isn't a key person in the plans. My guess is other people probably despise her with how Joe's plans didn't run as smoothly as they thought, and part of it has to do with her orchestrating a lot of the situation along the way.

Joe's still alive =O Now we've definitely seen everything!

The Tomorrow People 1.10 The Citadel

The Tomorrow People 1.10 The Citadel
Now there's a prison of gifted humans. This is getting out of hand, I knew they would had a facility with people they couldn't control. Ultra would either have people work for them or people rebelling against their cause.

I don't know what use the little girl Charlotte will have in the group, but Errol gave his life to save her. I'm sure she represents the only thing good around him prior to captivity. He used to have a family and that set off his path to destruction an instability.

There's a lot of John vs. Cara going on. This is going to divide the group, especially since we see people taking sides already. Cara is another one with instability. She was moments away from throwing Morgan into Ultra and John stopped her. John knows what it's like to take a life and wanted to save Cara from her choice. I have a feeling John and Stephen will have more complications between them but will work together at all costs.

What's with the mom's boyfriend?! I think he is a spy sent to mess everything up. Now that he's close with the family, he knows how to get to Stephen. He's blocking his mind out, so I am sure he probably wants to come after his father (dead or alive) or Jedikiah hired him to get close.

For whatever reason, I don't know why this show is ending in a couple episodes. Again, it's different from the everyday superhero stuff.

Sleepy Hollow 1.11 The Vessel

Sleepy Hollow 1.11 The Vessel

One sign of the impending apocalypse is surely skinny jeans - Ichabod Crane

I think that made the whole episode for me. That scene and Crane mastering how to control a TV remote control.

The animation with possessing Irving's daughter was creepy! The features looked almost like a wolf face and poor Macey had no control.

Washington's Bible has invisible ink imbedded in the page. Why has nobody thought of this until now? Haha it's about time! Washington could have written the date before he died, I don't know what the significance could really be other than that.

Missed Ichabod and Abbie!!

Sherlock 3.02 The Sign of Three

Sherlock 3.02 The Sign of Three
It sucks that this TV show is going to leave me in a couple of days. Totally well made with the scenario of having mini-movies all in one.

I can't possibly be the only person who noticed Alfie Enoch (Dean Thomas from the Harry Potter series) on screen! His letter to Sherlock was a big cry for help. Men don't say they are in need of help because of their pride, kind of like Sherlock! I'm glad his story wasn't wasted and it was actually the backdrop to the remainder of the episode.

Learning a little bit about John's past really shows he is an all around reserved guy. He has a small tight group of friends and stays in touch with those who impacted his life one way or another. Bringing a previous friend from the military was suitable, especially for his wedding.

The entire story was so intricate and I liked that it overlapped all of the small stories together. I'm also happy there's a baby Watson on it's way! I don't think it will be around until the next season, but I am glad there is now a new addition!

My Knitting and Nail Art!

Actually pretty proud of this one. My big sister Jamie wanted me to knit her a scarf (one year ago) and I decided to make it for her just last week haha. I finished today and am very pleased with the result.

I got the pattern from The Knitting Teacher on Ravelry and actually altered the pattern with the materials of choice. I used my 6.5mm bamboo needles I got on my trip to Shanghai last May (absolutely love them!) and two skeins of Cascade 128 superwash #1964 in this bold fuschia (both my sisters love pink, which is why my other sister got cable knit mittens from me last year).

The pattern called for US 6, 4.5mm needles but I found it too tight for the feel my sister wanted, so I changed the size and made the scarf shorter in length. It measures 34 inches in length and 11 inches wide. I also stitched it together to make it into an infinity scarf.

This was a lot of fun to make over the weekend, especially with all the snow I've been shovelling outside!

Here's also a picture of my nails I did on Friday. Just did some fun tuxedos on them.

Crafty weekend!! Now back outside for round four of shovelling snow. BRR!!!

Sherlock 3.01 The Empty Hearse

Sherlock 3.01 The Empty Hearse
I am so happy with this comeback! New Year's day was amazing with the classy return of Sherlock Holmes in the suave fashion he knows how to do it.

I find the storyline well fitting and appropriate with the long hiatus it experienced. Of course, it had to happen with the situation of Matting Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch filming The Hobbit and Star Trek. I also appreciate the writers keeping the realistic timeline of two years passing by.

I didn't think Mycroft would be the other one knowing Sherlock's mission. I thought they'd stick to Molly as the sole person to help Sherlock fake his death, but he needed to cover way more ground than anticipated. Sherlock tied up loose ends with Moriarty's underground people, which took him and Mycroft two years to infiltrate.

Once he returned, John's reaction was so natural. Usually when people are in shock, it's more dramatic for them to be silent as opposed to behaving on a high note. His reaction in the restaurant was spot on to put Sherlock at a loss for words. It was the right kind of response to the perfect situation. At the end of Sherlock's concluding remarks, the humour John brought with taking him out just did it for me!

Introducing Mary right now is perfectly planned. Sherlock has been absent for years, so John moves on with his personal life away from solving crimes. He does exactly that and Sherlock is back in the picture. Suddenly, Sherlock is feeling left out with all the time he lost from his life on Baker Street. It's a big change in pace and adds mor on the surface with Sherlock's emotions.

The different scenes of how Sherlock survived the jump kept the episode fresh. Anderson became a fanboy and I don't trust him. He's become deranged and obsessive, could turn lethal.

Who is the guy at the end of the episode?! Is he the reason why John was thrown into that bonfire? I fear it may be Philip Anderson, but the guy had wrinkles around his eyes. It will more than likely be somebody we revisit by the third episode =).

Happy 2014

Just want to wish you all a happy and healthy new year!

Another year has passed and I have a lot to be thankful for. Every year is a whirlwind no matter what, but it's the decisions we choose to make that count to come out of it.

All the best to all of you =D
