The Tomorrow People 1.11 Rumble

The Tomorrow People 1.11 Rumble
Not particularly over the moon revisiting Cara's past. I see she met a couple, one who showed her mercy and the other none. I appreciate that helped shape her to a better person but it also showed her how extremes of using your powers for good or bad. Cara's a struggling leader trying her best to earn the respect and confidence from the group. I commend her for not passing the torch back to John, but I think he has a better presence as the group leader.

I am bored of Stephen and Astrid's forbidden love. She's supposed to be part of his normal life, but she knows his secret and it throws off the element of surprise. I'm glad Alexa Vega (Spy Kids, Sleepover) got a part in this show! She's going to change thing sup and I can't wait for her to take down Stephen some more in the combat sessions.

Where did the mom's boyfriend go? He was a big part of the ending in the last episode but totally disappeared in this one. I wonder if he conspires with Julian on the down low. Not sure if he's a double spy working for Ultra with his own motives on the side.

The Tomorrow People 1.10 The Citadel

The Tomorrow People 1.10 The Citadel
Now there's a prison of gifted humans. This is getting out of hand, I knew they would had a facility with people they couldn't control. Ultra would either have people work for them or people rebelling against their cause.

I don't know what use the little girl Charlotte will have in the group, but Errol gave his life to save her. I'm sure she represents the only thing good around him prior to captivity. He used to have a family and that set off his path to destruction an instability.

There's a lot of John vs. Cara going on. This is going to divide the group, especially since we see people taking sides already. Cara is another one with instability. She was moments away from throwing Morgan into Ultra and John stopped her. John knows what it's like to take a life and wanted to save Cara from her choice. I have a feeling John and Stephen will have more complications between them but will work together at all costs.

What's with the mom's boyfriend?! I think he is a spy sent to mess everything up. Now that he's close with the family, he knows how to get to Stephen. He's blocking his mind out, so I am sure he probably wants to come after his father (dead or alive) or Jedikiah hired him to get close.

For whatever reason, I don't know why this show is ending in a couple episodes. Again, it's different from the everyday superhero stuff.

The Tomorrow People 1.09 Death's Door

The Tomorrow People 1.09 Death's Door
Looks like we found Jedikiah's weakness in his girlfriend Morgan. It's his Achilles heel and now he's in debt to Stephen and the group for protecting her.

He really covered up all his steps to make sure John could get away as well, so he definitely has a heart. Now with 'the founder' in the picture, Jedikiah is just a messenger boy and not the puppeteer.

Cara is getting angrier at John as the episodes go on. She sees him as shutting her out but she's saving face and blaming him for everything. John kept all those secrets and even promised Roger he would save the rest of the tomorrow people. I believe in Roger's master plan.

Stephen is really perceptive to know his dad found a way into limbo. I'm glad he has his faith and trusted his instincts. Waiting for January!

The Tomorrow People 1.08, Arrow 2.09

The Tomorrow People 1.08 Thanatos
Poor John. It looks like Jedikiah was close with him, especially since he picked him up when he's young.

Russell has intense fighting and full contact skills! That scene with Jedikiah was something serious! Great way to open the episode.

It's awful they can't find Stephen's dad now that we know John actually killed him years ago. His goal was to get Stephen this whole time, but I think some sort of subconscious is kept alive. How else could Stephen know about the voice in his head? Could've been his borderline passing out moment.

Things are getting interesting. How is it Jedikiah will focus his energy on both John and Stephen under Ultra's watchful eye? It's insane multitasking!

Arrow 2.09 The Scientist
Felicity has a new playmate! Happy To have Grant Gustin (Glee, 90210) join the cast and it looks like next week we will get to see some more of him.

Malcolm Merlyn is back in action! Moira keeps stepping away from him but I am sure she will get tied back into everything. Her release from the jury is total blackmail bait.

I'm sure Oliver will be okay with the help of Barry Allen's knowledge. He's probably now the third part of their team as long as he remains honest to Oliver, Diggle and Felicity :)

The Tomorrow People 1.07, Arrow 2.07

The Tomorrow People 1.07 Limbo
This was actually a fun episode! Had a look at Stephen's school life and John had to have fun at his basketball game. He made it even with Cara and said they both made out with Stephen xD

I know this show makes us think Jedikiah and Ultra want to eliminate the entire species, but what if it's something else?

What if he knows Stephen will eventually lead him to his father and really wants him =O if the tomorrow people's goal is to find Stephen's father and Jedikiah took Stephen to work with him, he may just want his father. I think that's the end goal =\

At least we know a bit more about next week with the hint "Thanatos" =)

Arrow 2.07 State vs Queen
More focus on the trial. I really don't know why they're stretching this out. Also, Sara looks to be written out of the episode. I would rather see her than Laurel, only because Laurel keeps playing the damsel position in this show.

I feel bad for Thea since she feels so angry and torn. She's the lonely girl with a brother as a vigilante, her mother in prison and a boyfriend as a rebel. I hope we get to see more of her in a new light (especially with the jaw-dropping news at the end of the episode).

The Count is one of the best characters we've seen on the show, and I mean that in a good way. As a villain, he's been so deranged and broad with his emotions. I absolutely adore Seth Gabel for bringing this character to life. Sebastian Blood is getting a larger role as an undercover villain. I don't know if he will team up with Malcolm Merlyn who is recently returned from the dad. I've missed John Barrowman on my TV and now his character is back to go after Moira. Thea being his biological daughter changes everything!

I'm afraid the island flashbacks still bore me. They're filler scenes to the present day situations in Starling City.

The Tomorrow People 1.06, Arrow 2.06

The Tomorrow People 1.06 Sorry For Your Loss
The writers have done well with this show. We found out Russell's story before he joined the Tomorrow People, the circumstances he dealt with and why he masks his emotions with his humour. John was nice enough to help, but of course he knew Russell would get distracted along the way.

Twisting in Darcy leaving a sister behind shows a lot of sacrifice and manipulation caused their separation. She sacrificed her personal life but could have went to ultra against her will, which is where she was brainwashed to annihilate her own species. I was surprised with Darcy's character change in the bar. I didn't think she'd listen to Stephen about saving her sister.

Cara is going too far with Stephen. She's riding on her anger against John and abusing the situation. I see her playing it off with guilt and then blaming John for keeping secrets from her. I hate when vengeful couples do that.

Arrow 2.06 Keep Your Enemies Closer
Not so much interested in the filler island flashback scenes. They include Sara, but she's no longer in Starling City. I don't find it relevant to Oliver's present life.

I didn't think the writers would pair Oliver with Isabel. It looks temporary but may endanger the corporation and her life outside the company. I always thought she was pulling strings but after seeing Sebastian Blood, maybe she's just misunderstood new money.

I find myself less invested in the show only because I'm fascinated by The Tomorrow People as the alternative.

The Tomorrow People 1.04, Arrow 2.04

The Tomorrow People 1.04 Kill or Be Killed
Glad they finally showed John's back story. He's an abused foster child who provided for his fellow foster siblings by using his powers. He then turned into a runaway and live on his own after Jedikiah took him into Ultra.

But WHOA!! John can kill?! Jedikiah's drug induced method to the primary of his brain (I hope I got that right) actually made him a survivor too, not just Cillian. Cara and the group don't even know, so this is major! This is such a dark secret and I really think this will change everything in the season. If this gets out, the rest of the team will look at him as the leader who lied to them all this time."I think there's a reason why we were born unable to kill. Destroy something, part of a soul you don't get back. I felt it today, just like I felt it years ago." This one-on-one secret talk with Jedikiah was so intense! I instantly thought of Harry Potter haha but I see how John's emotion is totally torn up on the inside. He feels so guilty to let Jedikiah in to "help" him at such a young age and manipulate who he was. I am really loving how the writers and producers are making this show so enjoyable. Very impressive stuff I am seeing!!

Arrow 2.04 Crucible
I knew it was Sara! HOLY! I predicted Black Canary would be her, but I didn't think it would actually be her! Now the story is going to get good! Finally, one time the episode flashbacks don't both me because they brought Sara back into it. "No woman should ever suffers at the hands of men." After Sara said this, I think she is basing it on numerous events in her life. Her and Oliver going behind Laurel's back, her time frame surviving the sinking ship and her return back to Starling City.

I don't trust Sebastian Blood. If "Brother Blood" is taking things into his own hands the way he did, he is a threat to the city. Then again, he may be taking orders from Isabel (Summer Glau). She's the newly introduced character with new money. Comes in as an investor and will most likely have plenty of money to cover up anything else. After Merlyn being the villain last season, I'm not surprised at these new characters coming in to play.

Tomorrow People 1.03, Arrow 2.03

The Tomorrow People 1.03 Girl, Interrupted
Looks like John had time to get a haircut and I do like it a lot!

Cara's back story is pretty heartbreaking. One of the ultimate disturbing incidences to happen to a teen girl. It explains her emotion was the reason why she discovered her power in steps. It was five years prior to present day and it must hold a setback to the group, no matter the strength of her telekinesis.

I am hoping we get a glimpse of John and Russell's stories before they joined the group. We know John was familiar with Stephen's father, which is why he's the leader. I'm interested though in both John and Russell's past and how they came to be.

I'm scared for Stephen's situation with Astrid. She gave Stephen an empty threat but if you're supposed to really be his friend, you don't try to back them into a corner about something they're hiding. Easy for me to say because I'm on the protagonist's side in this. She needs yo stay out of this or Jedikiah may put her in danger.

Arrow 2.03 Broken Dolls
This villain creeps me out!! It takes me back to that Criminal Minds episode when the doctor's daughter would make live dolls out of adult women.

I don't know when we get to see Black Canary unmasked, but I want to know her reason to fight bad guys and what brought her to Starling City. Is it deranged if I think that it might be Laurel's sister? It would make a great story because they totally ignored what happened to her.

Looks like Laurel is reverting to self pity now. That's a steep 180 degree turn on last week when she was concentrated on blaming the vigilante for Tommy's death once more. I hope her character doesn't turn into the helpless doe-eyed damsel in distress because I really like Katie Cassidy.

Tomorrow People 1.02, Arrow 2.02, Criminal Minds 9.04

The Tomorrow People 1.02 In Too Deep
The character development is impressive, especially since it's only the second episode. John is sticking to his alpha male leader role constantly watching out for everybody's well being. He also understands the concept of limits and when to hold back to ensure their safety. Cara is the strong female with good judgement from what we've seen. I think she will be more of an emotional decision maker as opposed to strategic.

This episode has Nick Eversman (Missing) guest starring, and I didn't notice it was him until he finally moved his angry, emo hair out of his face haha! I wonder if he will play a more predominant role as future episodes air. I loved him in Missing, but then again ANYTHING with Ashley Judd searching for her missing son is always a good watch. Too bad that show didn't get picked up for a second season... my apologies for reminiscing on past shows I hoped would have better ratings.

Arrow 2.02 Identity
I just want to say upfront I'm tired of all the island flashbacks that go on during an episode. It slows down the story and can easily make me lose interest if they don't bounce back to present time.I didn't know Kevin Alejandro (True Blood) was going to be here. I wonder if he will become a show regular. Starling City lacks a villain figure with the Merlyns out of the picture.

It's also good Roy is getting an opportunity to help the greater good without being in danger. All Thea wanted was for him to stop putting his life at risk and now they're able to come to a resolution. He most likely won't keep away from fighting if he remains partially involved.

The ending of the episode was excellent, I know Laurel is generally all around angry so of course a daughter of a cop would do something like that. I'm hoping next week's episode picks up right where it left off and not with another island flashback.

Criminal Minds 9.04 To Bear Witness
David Anders (Heroes, Once Upon a Time) is an excellent guest star. It was so intense and he scared all that was secure and happy in me! J.J. knows their new supervisor for reasons unknown! The situation is From a three year old open case but I am wondering what their history is. Rossi is so smart, I noticed the untouched elevator button as well. Rossi will find out anything, he's written books and cooked them Italian dinner!

New TV show!

I absolutely love the fall season. Crisp wind, sweater weather and new fall shows!

During the school year, I always looked forward to the brand new television shows and Halloween specials (come the last week of October, you'll see my inner child come out). I'm so happy the TV stations have picked up great shows this time around.

My summary ahead of the Pilot episode for The Tomorrow People may contain some spoilers, but I like to keep it at a minimum.

The Tomorrow People 1.01 Pilot
I saw all sorts of print advertisements and posts on twitter and thought I'd tune in.

I think this show can be compared to X-Men with having genetic mutations. I think this show will work well since the mutations are simple and easy to keep track of. The protagonist Stephen Jameson has the classic Peter Parker status in school being bottom of the social food chain. He also goes home and has issues with being raised by a single parent struggling financially and a younger brother with the average life.

Through the episode you learn he is born naturally with genetic mutated 'powers', just like with X-Men characters, and there are others in the rest of the world just like him. A group of them stick together, calling themselves the Tomorrow People, and live underground in hiding from the enemy called Ultra.

We learn everybody has ulterior motives and promise their intentions for Stephen are for the better. Both sides clearly have secrets and aren't telling the whole story. He makes his decision by the end of the episode and he reassures he knows what he's doing. I believe it, otherwise there would be no point in talking about this show.

I'm liking the change in genre of this TV show particularly because it's not one with supernatural creatures. I'm not bashing the current shows that do have them (I watch Being Human and True Blood myself), but why watch another vampire based show? It's like watching the millions of doctor drama shows on air.

On another note, I had no idea Aaron Yoo was in this show! Totally didn't recognize him with all the facial hair haha! Stephen's mom was also in Covert Affairs and the leader of Ultra is in pretty much everything else I watched in the past (LOST, Dexter, Supernatural and Being Human).

As you can tell, I watch a lot of TV shows =P
